a. The congregation was founded in 1897 by some of Coconut Grove's most
prominent residents. The rough-hewn walls and towers of Plymouth Congregational
Church are the work of a single master stonemason, Spanish-born Felix
Rebom. Twin bell towers and a central curvilinear gable distinguish this
Mission style building, which is constructed of native oolitic limestone.
Plymouth Congregational Church was listed in the National Register
of Historic Places in 1974.
