Station No. 4 a. Fire Station No. 4 was built to serve Miami's rapidly growing residential neighborhoods south of the Miami River. This handsome Mediterranean Revival style building exemplifies architectural tastes of the Land Boom era. The station is noteworthy for its fine detailing, particularly its arcaded porch, balconies, and cornice. Fire Station No. 4 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. b.
